As application
of new technologies force changes in original flow paths, manual valves
can become partially or totally obstructed. At best such obstructions
can waste time and money. At worst they can pose a threat to personnel,
process, and plant safety. Through judicious use of compatible components,
Roto Hammer can assemble a cost-effective extension system to reach
virtually any valve in any location or position!
A
(furnished) Adapter Plate replaces valve's original handwheel.
Bridle bolts to Adapter Plate. Extension Rod of appropriate
length connects to Bridle. Extension Rod Support Assembly available
if needed, suitable for rising or non-rising stem valves.
Shown here without and with Impact Operator.
Horizontal
Extension
Identical
assembly to that of vertical extension but installed on the
horizontal plane.
Shown here with chainwheel and impact operator (top); handwheel
operator only (bottom); with and without Impact Operator.
Where
direct vertical or horizontal connections are not possible,
the use of Universal and Slip Joints allow application of sufficient
torque to operate the valve.
Shown: Floor Stand Operators with sub-floor (left) and elevated
(right). Infinite combinations possible, making virtually no
valve totally inaccessible.
Directional
Change
The
use of 1:1 90 Degree Gear Boxes allow operation to be converted
from horizontal to vertical and vice versa.
